Privacy

This describes what happens to your information when you use this website. It is written to be read, not to be survived, and it describes what the site actually does rather than everything the law might allow.

What we collect, and only when you send it

We do not ask you to make an account and there is nothing to log into. The only information you give us is what you type into the estimate form or the builder bid form, and you choose what to put in them.

The forms ask for:

Your name, and your company name on the builder form
Your phone number
Your email address, which is optional
The kind of project and the city it is in
Whatever you write in the details box
Up to three photos, if you choose to attach them

What gets recorded automatically

When a form is submitted we also store the IP address it came from and the browser's user-agent string. That is not for marketing. It is how the rate limiter stops the same source flooding the form, and how we can tell a real enquiry from an automated one.

The site also runs Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which count page views and measure loading performance. They do not use cookies and do not build a profile of you across other websites.

There is no advertising tracking on this site. No Meta pixel, no Google Ads tag, no third-party advertising cookies.

Where it goes

A submission does two things. It is stored in our database, hosted by Supabase, and it is emailed to the owner through Resend so someone actually sees it. Nothing else happens to it automatically.

The database is locked so that only our server can read it. There is no public access to the table.

Photos you upload

Photos are worth calling out separately, because we would rather tell you than have you assume.

Photos you attach to a form are stored in a public storage bucket. They are not listed or linked anywhere, and the address of each file includes a random identifier, so nobody is going to stumble across them. But anyone who has the link to a photo can open it without signing in.

In practice the link exists in one place: the notification email sent to the owner. If that matters to you, send photos by text or email instead, or leave them off and describe the project in words. We are planning to move this to private storage with expiring links.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it for anyone else's marketing. There is no arrangement under which a third party receives our enquiries.

The companies that keep the site running necessarily handle data as part of doing that: Vercel hosts the site, Supabase stores the database and files, Resend delivers the notification email, and Google serves the embedded maps on the contact and city pages. An embedded Google map is Google's, and loading one means your browser talks to Google under Google's own terms.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while they are useful, which for a construction business means beyond the first conversation: a project quoted this year may start next year, and a pool we built should still be traceable if you call about it later.

If you want your enquiry and any photos deleted, ask. Call or email using the details on the contact page and say what you sent and roughly when, and we will remove it.

Calls and texts

If you call or text the number on this site, your carrier and ours handle that the way they handle any phone call. Texting us means we have your number, which we use to answer you about your project. We do not run marketing text campaigns and we will not add you to one.

Children

This site is for people arranging construction work. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes, and how to reach us

If what we do changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves. There is no archive of previous versions.
